Zoomarine

Zoomarine is a water theme park, featuring many animals. Experience the dolphins and seals in live shows conducted throughout the day. This park also has many other amusements to entertain the family, including a sandy beach, pool  and slides. Dolphin Emotions

Experience the dolphins up close with Dolphin Emotions at Zoomarine. There are three different packages available. Interact with the dolphins in a small group, on your own or learn to scuba dive and meet the dolphins underwater. More information...

Aquashow

Aquashow lies in the centre of the Algarve, close to Almancil and Vilamoura. It features a lot of water themed attractions, some with age and height restrictions. In addition, the park, also has its own hotel. The park is open from the 1st of May until the 30th September.

Slide and Splash

Located in Lagoa on the western side of the region, Slide and Splash is primarily a waterpark (one of the largest in Europe), but it also has shows featuring reptiles, birds of prey and very colourful parrots and macaws. Suitable for the whole family. Slide and Splash is closed during the winter.

Aqualand

Located in Alcantarilha in the central Algarve, Aqualand is a smaller waterpark than the others we have mentioned above. It opens in June and is only open for the summer months. 

Zoomarine

Zoomarine is not just a water park, it is full of animals to look at, and to interact with. As well as the famous dolphin and seal shows, you can see sea lions, tropical birds and many reptiles. The park also has a conservation and rehabilitation centre for marine and aquatic animals. More information...

Lagos Zoo

In the western Algarve, in Lagos, is probably the largest Zoo in the region. Open all year round, this is a fantastic zoo for the children to get up close to the animals. The zoo is not large enough to house the very large species, but the collection includes primates and reptiles and is a great day out.

Krazy World Zoo

Krazy World is a mix of a zoo and somewhere fun for all the family to relax. The zoo has plenty of animals, a number of which the children can feed. The zoo primarily has farm animals, birds and reptiles. After the animals, you can relax at the outdoor pool, whilst the children can go on the zip line, take in a pony ride, play mini golf, or go karting. There is plenty to do here.

Quinta do Lago Mini Golf

Experience big fun with your family at Quinta do Lago Mini Golf! Nestled in the heart of Quinta do Lago's golfing centre, right across from the Driving Range, this Mini Golf Course offers miniature replicas of some of the world's most iconic golf holes, including those from Augusta, Belfry, and Sawgrass.

Family Golf Park

Located in Vilamoura in the central Algarve, the Family Golf Park has 2  x 18 hole mini golf courses for all of the family. The Park also has a train (on wheels!) that will take you to the beach and the marina. Also at the park you will find a kids club and a café/bar. 

ParTee Family Park

Adventure park

Embark on thrilling adventures at the Adventure Park (Parque Aventura) located in Albufeira, Lagos, Vila Real de Santo António, and Figueira da Foz. Test your bravery as you navigate treetop platforms, conquering challenges that promise new sensations and emotions. For those seeking an adrenaline-pumping experience, engage in heart-pounding paintball battles set against the scenic backdrop of these diverse locations.

Bowling

Here we are referring to ten pin bowling rather than lawn bowling. We know of just two centres at present in the whole region. The largest centre is at the marina in Albufeira with seven lanes. Alvor near Portimao also has  a small setup with just four lanes.

Karting Centres

The Algarve is well served with four Karting tracks spread across the region. Outdoor centres can be found at Almancil, Albufeira (marina) and Portimao (autodromo race track). There is also an indoor track at Olhao on the eastern side. We suggest calling first before visiting to either book or to ensure the track near to you is open.

Rent a Bike

Maybe you want a cycling holiday, we can organise a tour of the entire Algarve. However, if you just want to rent a bike for a day or even a few days to use in the vicinity of where you are staying, we have many partners from east to west who will hire bikes for the entire family.

Go Horse Riding

There are several horse riding centres spread across the region, from horse rides along the beaches on the wild west coast, all the way along to the east. All of the riding centres cater for most age groups including young children. If you'd like a Horse Riding holiday, then let us put a package together for you.

Go Sailing

Sailboats can generally be rented from any of the marinas along the Algarve coast such as Lagos, Portimao, Vilamoura, Faro, Olhao and Tavira. Many options are available. You can also learn to sail at an approved RYA centre or sit back and let someone else do all the work.

Family Friendly Jeep Safari

Take a full day Jeep Safari tour into the Algarve. This is the Algarve you will otherwise never get to see, and the scenery inland is stunning. Children of all ages can be catered for so it's a great family day out.

Pirate Ship Adventure

Even the Algarve can provide you with an adventure aboard a pirate ship. Step aboard either at Portimao or Albufeira. At Portimao is the Santa Bernarda and in Albufeira, the Leãozinho. Both ships will give you a great experience.

Take a Tuk Tuk Ride

Hop on a Tuk Tuk and discover your local area. These vehicles and modern, smart and comfortable. Most town and cities have a tuk tuk operator, and can take you to places when cars cannot access. Let us organise your tuk tuk adventure.

ParTee Family Park in Vale do Lobo, the Playground & Café is a charming haven for families seeking both relaxation and playtime. Surrounded by the lively atmosphere, parents can unwind with a cup of coffee or a refreshing beverage while keeping an eye on their little ones enjoying the playground.

Koko Lane

Koko Lane is a restaurant in Quinta do Lago open from 8am for breakfast until 11pm at night. It's located in a very pleasant location. Alongside the restaurant is a gated and fenced playground. Let your little ones play whilst you relax.

Parrilla Natural

Parilla Natural is a restaurant located halfway between Vale do Lobo and Almancil. It does great steaks, but is also very family friendly. It has a playground and the staff are very family friendly.
